I found out today that a woman I used to be friends with committed suicide over the weekend. I haven't seen or spoken to her in almost three years but I am still feeling a bit shattered about it.

My favorite memory of her is the time we went hiking together outside of Hood River. She showed up, fully made-up and wearing high heels. To go hiking. And this was after she made me stop at a convenience store on the way there so she could buy a twinkie.
